About the Practice
The new Crwys Medical Centre opened on the 5th September 2005 and is a modern new surgery that is able to provide full and comfortable facilities for all including the disabled.
The surgery is situated at the top end of Wedal Road near the junction with Allensbank Road and has ample, dedicated patient parking. There is also a Pearn's Pharmacy incorporated into the building.
The
Practice
Area:
Northwestern boundary is where Northern Avenue meets the Coryton
- Queen Street Railway Line.
Northern boundary then follows the Coryton - Queens Street Line to its intersection with Heathwood Road and is continued along Rhyd-Y-Penau Road to the mini-roundabout at Cyncoed Road which forms the northeastern boundary point.
From this northeasterly point Cyncoed Road travelling south forms the eastern boundary continuous with Waterloo Road until it meets Albany Road at the roundabout which forms the most southeasterly point.
Albany Road forms the southern boundary as far as Crwys Road. The boundary then follows the Coryton - Queens Street Railway Line south to its junction with the Rhondda/Merthyr Line.
The
western boundary is formed by the Rhondda/Merthyr Railway Line until it meets
North Road. The western boundary is then carried up the A470 through North
Road, Manor Way and Northern Avenue until it once again meets the Coryton
- Queens St Railway Line at the northwestern boundary.
History:

Prior to September 2005, the Crwys Medical Practice had been established since the turn of the last century at 151 Crwys Road.
The stain glass window panel was in the front bay of the old building and is now installed in the waiting area of the new practice.
